NEW RESOURCES

Updated: Apr 23

The Minnesota Prevention Alliance Foundation (MPAF) is excited to announce the launch of our new website along with a comprehensive set of FREE resources to support Minnesota schools in implementing Minnesota Statute 120B.215 – Cannabis Prevention Education for the 2026–2027 school year.

We recognize that districts are preparing now for fall implementation and need clear, practical guidance to meet all statutory requirements. MPAF has developed tools and supports to make this process efficient, evidence-based, and fully aligned with state expectations.

NEW: Cannabis Prevention Guidebook

Now available under the Resources tab, our Guidebook includes:

  • A breakdown of all required components of 120B.215

  • Step-by-step implementation guidance

  • Evidence-based prevention strategies

  • Age-appropriate education approaches

  • Integration with existing curriculum

Additional Free Resources:

  • Overview of new MN Statutes related to substance use prevention, mental health, suicide, etc.

  • Checklist for schools to utilize to see how their current curriculum compares to the required checklist

  • Recommended List of Cannabis and other drug curriculum  "The List"

  • Extended version of how the Research Advisory Council (RAC) came up with The List.

  • Connections to local prevention services

NEW: MPAF Office Hours (Live Support)

To further support schools, MPAF is now offering Office Hours—an open, virtual opportunity to ask questions, get guidance, and receive real-time support from prevention experts. Come and go as needed. Our Team will be available. During the next office hours on May 14th, Dr. Ken Winters and the team will review the new Guidebook we have developed for schools to use.

Next Session: May 14 11:00 AM CST
